I wasn't going to post anything till tomorrow but boy am I mad!!!! Why do we support this? Why do we keep listening to their music when they are going right ahead and dissing us, disrespecting us, labelling us? This is really grinding my gears!! I'm pretty sure as black women we're all mad and next time I see someone hash tagging #teamlightskin #teamdarkskin I'm gonna slap some good sense into them. Growing up there was none of this. There are so many things wrong with us as people these days. We are so into material things, so vain that we don't even realize how this is affecting our culture as black people. We as brothers and sister need to support each other. Why label us darkskin or lightskin? What suddenly there's something wrong with a "sista" now? I either have to be light or dark? Why can't I just be me? Why can't you respect me when I'm just me? My sister sent me that and she's mad too. She told me about this line that this guy says "light skin is the right skin you you you and your white friend" like tf. What happened to supporting black sisters. Her words and I say I agree with her. Black women were born with two strikes against them: being black and being a woman. Now you wanna go add a third strike why? History never labelled us. It's the black woman's strong spirit, their loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering that got them through those slavery day and made it possible for this disrespectful rappers to be what they are. We are the last people that should ever practice any form of oppression. ENOUGH ! Respect a sista already.

K I'm going to go on a rant cause I'm still mad lol. Its sad how people listen to the words but don't really hear what's being said. Black is beautiful whether I'm dark chocolate or caramel. No man has the right to say you are light skinned so you are perfect. Let alone the fact that it is coming from our own black brothers like tf?!? Just a few decades ago the same white women did not look at these men. They were nothing but slaves, and any mixed child was highly frowned upon. Now instead of loving all black girls, whether they are dark as night or red/yellow skinned, they go dissing us? Now that's just absurd. We as black women need yo stop dancing to this stupidity and stand up for what is right. gotta put these men in check!!
